Sundae Recipe
Ingredients

50g/2oz dark
chocolate (broken into small pieces)

100g/4oz golden
syrup
-
15g/1/2oz butter
-
1 tablespoon rum
-
150ml/1/4pt double
cream
-
12 scoops vanilla
ice-cream
-
4 bananas (sliced)
-
75g/3oz flaked
almonds (toasted)
Method:
-
Place the chocolate in a heatproof bowl with the
syrup and butter. Heat over a pan of simmering water
until melted, stirring until well combined.

Remove
the bowl from the heat and stir in the rum. Whip the
cream until just holding its shape.

Place a scoop of
vanilla ice-cream in the bottom of each of 4 tall
sundae glasses.

Top with the sliced banana, some
chocolate sauce and a sprinkling of nuts. Repeat the
layers, finishing with a generous dollop of cream.
