Chargrilled Apples
on Cinnamon Toasts Recipe
Ingredients

4 sweet dessert
apples Juice of 1/2 lemon
-
4 large round
bread rolls
-
15g/1/2oz butter
(melted)

25g/10z caster sugar
-
1 teaspoon ground
cinnamon
Method:

Core the apples and
cut them horizontally in 3 or 4 thick slices.
Sprinkle with lemon juice.

Cut the rolls in half
horizontally. Brush sparingly with butter on both
sides. Mix together the sugar and ground cinnamon.

Preheat the grill to medium. Place the apple and
bread slices under the grill and cook them for 3 to
4 minutes, turning once.

Sprinkle half the cinnamon
sugar over the apple slices and toasts and cook for
1 minute more, until they are rich golden brown.

To
serve, arrange the apple slices over the toasts and
sprinkle them with the remaining cinnamon sugar.
