Ingredients
Serves 4
Method:

Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas mark 4. Grease 3 x 23cm/9in square
sandwich cake tins.

Make up the cake mix
according to the directions and divide into
three. Color one portion yellow, one pink and
one green.

Pour into the prepared cake tins and
bake for 15 minutes, or until springy. Loosen and turn out on
to wire racks to cool completely.

Cut
each layer in half crossways through the centre.
Combine the apple sauce and crème de cacao in a
small saucepan and heat slowly.

To assemble the
cake, place one green strip on to baking
parchment Spoon some apple syrup over.
-
Top with a yellow strip, and spoon apple sauce
over. Repeat with the remaining cake strips and
apple sauce.
