golden syrup

50g/2oz
caster sugar

75g/3oz
butter

175g/6oz oats
Method:

Preheat the oven to 170°C/325°F/Gas mark 3.

Melt the syrup,
sugar and butter together in a heavy-based pan.
Remove from the heat.

Stir in the oats and mix
well. Press the mixture firmly into a shallow,
greased tin and place in the oven for about 35
minutes.
-
Leave to cool and then cut into
generous portions while still warm.
